- Gospel Tabernacle has been around since the early 1900's. With its main purpose of training Missionaries to preach the gospel in distant lands and to provide a place of worship and fellowship for the local community. Gospel Tabernacle still follows the same concept and has provided a place of worship and fellowship for the community. With programs like Royal Rangers (Boys Fellowship program), Missionettes(Girls Fellowship Program), and Bible Study all held on Fridays @ 7:30 PM. We even have a Spanish Department that meet on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm. On Sundays at 10:00 am we have a worship service and hear the word of God from our Senior Pastor Joseph Santos. Gospel Tabernacle now has a Portuguese Department which holds their services on Saturday at 7:00 pm. And for the Youth of the community there are services held on Fridays at 9:30 pm. Hi Pastor Joe, Wow, I didn't know that you had Gastric Bypass Surgery. How are you doing? Are you doing? How many pounds have you lost since the surgery? I know it hasn't been easy. I have heard all of the stories from other Gastric Bypass patients and it is a difficult road. However, I know that with God all things are possible and you are a God fearing man, so I know that God is helping you through this. I know how much you love food...yeah...me too. I know it hasn't been easy giving up your favorites. I pray that you have the support of your family and kids are not being teased so much. I have high cholesterol for the first time in my life, and I get teased by my husband and my kids because I can't eat like I used too. Yes, they eat all the good stuff in front of my face while I eat all the awful tasting stuff to help lower my cholesterol. By the way...You Rock Pastor Joe. Please keep me updated okay. I have been to this site several times and i'm not sure if this message will you reach you, however i will try anyways. I was just curious to know why we worship on Sunday rather than on Saturday, which is really the Sabbath. I have been attending Gospel Tabernacle for some years now and I love the church, the people, the PASTORS. However, I have a neighbor who is a 7th Day Adventist and he is trying to tell me that even if I do everythiong else right, I will not make it into the Kingdom of Heaven should I continue to worship on Sundays...dasciple@hotmail.com
